EvacServices partnered with the properties and facilities management teams of Parramatta Square, one of Australia’s largest commercial precincts – a landmark project comprising multiple interconnected towers with a shared multi-level basement and public event spaces.
At full occupancy, the precinct accommodates more than 25,000 office workers across mixed-use environments including government tenancies, commercial offices, retail outlets, and hospitality venues. The client’s objective was to ensure compliance with AS 3745:2010 – Planning for Emergencies in Facilities and implement a scalable emergency management plan that reflected the site’s complexity, including the integrated fire engineering solution, retail interfaces, and large public gathering areas.
EvacServices applied its Comply – Learn – Engage methodology to deliver a holistic emergency planning and compliance solution.
1. Integrated Emergency Planning
Each facility received training aligned with AS 3745:2010, and for healthcare-related sites, AS 4083:2010 – Planning for Emergencies in Health Care Facilities.
Our trainers adapted content to the site’s unique environment, ensuring that warden teams developed real-world confidence, not just theoretical knowledge.
2. Customised Evacuation Diagrams and Procedures
Detailed evacuation diagrams and emergency procedure manuals were developed for each tenancy and shared area, reflecting complex travel paths, lifts, escalators, and cross-building egress routes.
3. Staged Evacuation Modelling
EvacServices designed staged evacuation and reoccupation strategies to manage crowd movement across roads and between buildings, enabling a safe and efficient response during peak occupancy.
4. Blended Training Delivery
Using our EvacConnect platform, EvacServices delivered hybrid warden training – a mix of live sessions and online modules – ensuring consistency across different tenancies and contractor teams.
